There were 33 competitors in the 2007 English DBA Open:
18 in the 15mm Senior competition, 9 in the Juniors and 6 in the 25mm competition.

The 15mm seniors were divided into 3 groups of six, based on their army's date. Each played all the others in their group with their own selection of army. The 3 group winners and the best of the second place players then fought semi-finals and a final with armies provided by the organisers.
The final winner and 2007 15mm Senior Champion was Scott Russell, who also had the best record of all the group winners.

The Juniors were organised into a single group, playing each of the others with their own armies. After an intensive group phase, the group winner (Aislinn Smith) then played group runner-up (Robert Dowling) in a final, again using their own armies.
The final winner and 2007 Junior Champion was Robert Dowling.

The 25mm players were also organised into a single group but played each other twice. In the first round each played with their own armies but in the second round everyone played with their opponent's army.
At the end of both rounds, the 25mm Champion was Andrew Fisher.
